I moved to Attleborough from London as a 14 year old and I got to know Steven (Sav to me ) I think we were introduced through friends and I soon realised he was the coolest person around at the time I had met . I am 41 in October it seems like a lifetime ago now. I only just found out today after trying to get in touch with him on Facebook. Shocked and crying all morning I have just come across this beautiful page. I believe in people's soul not vanishing and his spirit and soul are there with his family and loved ones. I remember Steven being always funny and always polite to me from the moment we met I was impressed with his intelligence and how welcoming towards me he was. As an outsider coming from London and not from the area his kindness, warmness, his brain and his warm kind spirit stuck with me. My heart goes out to his friends and most of all his family . I am going to visit his memorial this weekend and have a catch up with one of the best men I have ever met . Speak soon sav I love you. Robin Beil

Last memory but certainly not least..... from Joanne So many memories but the outstanding one is from Steph & Patrick's wedding day. Having to carry the wedding cake from the house to the marquee. I asked Steve to help - as he held one side I was panicking as I picked up the other side and he exclaimed "Joanne THATS my penis you've grabbed" to which I replied "sod your penis Steven" to much hilarity - XXX Mum's note: Have added a picture of the cake in question to the Gallery - sadly could not find one of it in transit!!

You were one of the first people i met in the village. As a 'Townie' I knew next to nothing of what it meant to be part of a village. The fact you liked Green Day was enough for me to like you. If we could have known you longer 😊

Memory from Al Being up all night at my parents in the field. I wanted to play some tunes but you REFUSED to get off the decks. You did about a six hour set. It was wonderful. You are missed, but you're lighting up somewhere else.

More than a year gone by son - it still hurts as much and we miss you every single day. As Covid scuppered your Wake we held a late one on 23rd October with a Halloween theme. Over 300 photos of you shared the memories held by everyone and we were truly touched by the number of people who joined us to make this a special celebration of your life. The thoughts left on the Memory Board will be added here. As your Mum I always thought you were an amazing being, if good at trying my patience on occasion! Still no easier to bear my son, We Miss you every day and I still shed tears every morning when I wake to a new day without you being in our lives. So i first met Steven when we were literally babies in his original home, an absolute shithole called Lighthorn Heath. Its not improved haha. He was a year or 2 younger than me, we met as his parents and my parents are lifelong friends. In fact it was in Lighthorn Heath that Stevens Father, Stuart, left me with scars for life after jumping out wearing a werewolf mask. He also made my Dad laugh uncontrollably after he and his friend Kevin decided to put my Dads moped on top of his concrete porch. The reason im saying this is i feel Steven had his Dads sense of humour as a base, luckily Steven managed to expand on this and actually have a great sense of humour. My favourite memory of Steven is a childhood holiday to the South of France, we cycled every morning to the local village (where everone smelt like old socks and spoke funny, we were young) then brought breakfast back to our families. Steven taught me in that fortnight that i wasnt scared of spiders. He definitely was though. he was definitley scared of spiders haha.  RIP old friend, sleep tight x 

Thinking of you today especially on your birthday Steven. Peter and I talking about your antics as a little boy and teenager on holidays. The time you jumped into the swimming pool in Spain at the age of about three, gasped because it was cold and a German tourist, not realising you could already swim, jumping in to rescue you, and not being happy that he ruined his watch! The time as a teenager in France you and Anthony went off on your bikes to get the bread and croissants in the morning, we told you to get more than 9 if you could so you came back with 10! The time you came to our house for the day when your mum was at work and you spent it teaching 3 year old Sam to ride his little bike without stabilisers, he was whizzing about by the time your mum came to pick you up and you were so proud. Such Happy memories and so many more 🥰 We're keeping an eye on the oldies just like we promised, there are still a lot of tears but there's also smiles and laughter too, how could there not be when talking about you and your huge personality Steven. You will be forever in our hearts ❤ xxx

Birthday Message Finding it hard today, as I knew I would. I planned to put together some lovely words or a poem for you just as Steph and Charlotte did but they still escape me. I think of you so often and sometimes with tears but also with laughter at memories of your gigantic personality. I miss you 'bursting' through the front door like a bull on speed, searching through the cupboards for food and a thousand other things that made you who you were. I have made a cake in your favourite style - iced and covered in chocolate and cherries in your honour. Larna wants a candle to blow out and Sienna just wants cake!! I have daffodils kindly given to me by Joanne and they remind me of the ones my mum gave to me the day you were born. I will write the special words for you I promise when my heart aches a little less. We will try our best today to celebrate your life and achievements. Love you loads Ma xxxx

Steven, I love you like one of my own family. I adored you in this life, a true character you made me laugh, cry, smile, and everything in between. Life is cruel. Too cruel to have taken you so early. You were one of my best friends. one of the most kind, unique people I had the pleasure of meeting. Steve had many names for me - Mum, Ma, MOTHER (when he was cross), but the one he created for me was Interfereasaurus. In line with this name I have recovered a couple of written tributes from the site of Steve's accident and I have captured them in the next two posts. I did not want to loose these thoughts to the wind and the rain.

Oh Steve We are still numb and speechless about you leaving us. We have tears everyday as we remember things you said or things you did and places we went in the 37 years we were together. We will never stop missing you son. We have received so many messages and wanted to share some of the words our friends have used to describe you: witty, loud, amazing, clever, smiley, charming, adventurous, caring …….. The list goes on and all such lovely tributes to you. As your mum and dad we saw all sides of your personality and loved them all. Your beautiful soul lives on within all of those you left behind. Dear Savvy. I think of you every day and can’t believe you’re gone. I felt so bad that you were our driver in Poland and every time I mentioned it, you said, I drink too much so it’s probably for the best. I felt like I was depriving you but also depriving me from you cos you have a big personality , especially in your natural habitat.. with a beer in hand! You had a big impact on me during my time knowing you and I’ll never forget what a gentleman you *always* where with me. I always knew I was guaranteed to have a good time if you were there. You have had a big impact on Andy too who always appreciated how you lived your life like there was no tomorrow. This meant you spent *every penny* available to you and always said exactly what you were thinking but loved an open conversation about whatever your friend’s views were. There Was no judgment, just conversation. Such a rare quality and something Andy cherished and misses fiercely. I miss you so much but I feel even more sad for Andy, Lee, Charlie, Chris and your close friends and of course your dear family, who are lost without you. How will we carry on without you?

Not a day goes by when I don't think of you, so many memories that I'm going to cherish forever. You were always there for me when I was sad or down. Whether it was going out on days drone flying, going for countryside walks or just being in your company, you never failed to bring a smile to my face. You had a spark in you that was contagious to many. I miss so much of you, I miss you turning up in your pj's, I miss hearing your stories of places you've been and things you've done in your life, I miss your booming laugh and cheeky grin!! Today, 11/11/20 we received a cheque from Auntie Rosie for £50 plus Gift Aid and a direct donation to the Trussell Trust from Terry and Denise Wheeler of £20 plus Gift Aid. This takes our total raised in Steve's name to date to £1,572.50. He would be so proud.

You would have loved it yesterday Steve. Great music, food and company ❤ And an amazing bye bye boom with the girls. Your flowers still sit on my fireplace, absolutely gorgeous flowers thanks to Heidi. I think we are going to take them to your tree at the weekend. Going to have a few Brewdog IPA's this eve and reminisce. Your shaky hugs and "stauchy" cheek smooches, your loud guffaw, your cheeky smile, you playing jigsaws and boardgames with the girls and never letting them win, flying your drone in our garden, teaching my children to break popadums into a thousand pieces when we had an Indian, wowing us on Larnas keyboard with your latest self taught piece. Too many to list but I will keep you there in my memories and in my heart. I need those lovely memories to fill the hole you have left behind. Miss you ❤ Love you always

Steve you was always an absolute joy to be around, walking into the pub and hearing your laugh was like a siren for letting us all know you was in :’) You always made space on a bench or table for anyone to accompany yourself and also your friends! You was a very chatty man with a kind heart, full of interesting, and the most funniest stories! I’ve seen you through your long hair hippie days, to your wild gel moustache days and you somehow managed to always rock it! You will always be in my heart. I tried to make those McSavvy brekkie sausage and egg burgers today - they weren’t a patch on yours. Steve I keep thinking I’ll hear you yanking the handbrake outside the house, clomping down the stoney path in your work boots, flinging open the door, making yourself a super strong black coffee, rolling a cig then roaring with that huge unmistakable laugh while you tell me about your day. My heart breaks knowing it won’t. 💔 I don’t even know a word to describe how much I miss you but you probably would. The sky will be much brighter with you shining your light down on us. There are no words to describe the light that has gone from this world since the day we lost you. I’ve know you my entire life and I’m so grateful that we become friends as adults. Haven't seen Steve for years and sadly never will again, however here is my memory. One hell of a guy who had all time in the world for a chat, loved a good laugh and was very highly thought of by all that new him, not a bad bine in his body. I know he will be sorely missed. Thoughts are with all of you who are closer to him than I ever was.

There is a saying, Memories are timeless treasures of the heart, and Steve you are a treasure in so many hearts!!
